English designer
Tamsin van Essen, who is based in Prague, explores the new aesthetic of the practical design concept. Inspired by scientific and medical topics, Tamsin
questions contemporary obsessions with perfection and beauty, and manipulates ceramic in a way that emulates physiological processes, deliberately encouraging 'faults', 'defects' and 'blemishes.' The result is somewhat peculiar but astonishing.
